• Rinses clean without residue

How to Use
For body wash
Dilute 1 part soap to 2 parts water. Apply to skin and rinse thoroughly.
For hand soap
Dilute 1 part soap to 2–3 parts water. Pour into a pump dispenser.
For facial cleansing
Dilute 1 part soap to 3 parts water and apply gently before rinsing.
For household cleaning
Dilute 1 part soap to 4–6 parts water depending on the surface.
Use undiluted for heavier cleaning tasks.
Because olive oil soaps produce a softer lather than coconut-based soaps, slightly lower dilution helps maintain a comfortable washing experience.
Why It Works
Olive oil forms the entire soap base. Its fatty acid profile, dominated by oleic acid, produces a mild cleansing action that removes surface oils without stripping the skin.
Unlike soaps made with higher levels of coconut oil, olive oil soaps produce a softer and creamier lather. The result is a wash that feels gentle and conditioning while still cleaning effectively.
This makes olive-based castile soap suitable for daily bathing, facial cleansing, and frequent hand washing.
Botanical Origin
Olive oil is pressed from the fruit of Olea europaea, a tree cultivated for thousands of years throughout the Mediterranean region.
Traditional castile soaps were historically made entirely from olive oil because of their mild cleansing properties and conditioning effect on the skin.
The scent in this variant comes from rosemary essential oil distilled from the leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis. Rosemary has long been used in herbal bathing traditions because of its fresh, woody, and slightly camphoraceous aroma.
Rosemary in Soap
Rosemary essential oil produces a clean herbal scent with light woody and aromatic notes. The fragrance feels fresh and slightly invigorating during washing.
In castile soap, rosemary contributes a subtle aromatic profile that complements the mild cleansing character of olive oil.
The scent appears primarily during washing and fades after rinsing, leaving the skin clean without heavy fragrance.
Because the fragrance comes from natural plant oils, small variations in scent between batches may occur.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this soap safe to use directly on skin without dilution?
Yes, but dilution is recommended to produce a gentler wash and extend the usable volume of soap.
Why does this soap produce less foam than other liquid soaps?
Olive oil soaps naturally create a softer and creamier lather compared with coconut-based soaps. The cleansing performance remains effective even with lower foam.
Will the rosemary scent remain on the skin?
The aroma is most noticeable during washing and usually fades after rinsing.
Is this suitable for facial cleansing?
Yes. Olive-based castile soaps are often used for facial washing because of their mild cleansing properties. Diluting the soap before use is recommended.
How long does one bottle last?
At a 1:2 dilution ratio, a 250 mL bottle produces roughly 750 mL of ready-to-use body wash. A 1000 mL bottle diluted at the same ratio produces about 3 liters.
