Produced through traditional soapmaking and designed to be diluted for everyday use on body, hands, and household surfaces.
• Concentrated formula designed for dilution
• Fresh citrus scent from calamansi essential oil
• Works as body wash, hand soap, and light household cleaner
• Rinses clean without residue
• Biodegradable and free from synthetic additives
How to Use
For body wash
Dilute 1 part soap to 3 parts water. Apply to skin and rinse thoroughly.
For hand soap
Dilute 1 part soap to 4 parts water. Pour into a pump or foaming dispenser.
For household cleaning
Dilute 1 part soap to 5–10 parts water depending on the surface. Suitable for countertops, floors, and light stain removal.
Use undiluted for heavier cleaning tasks.
The soap may appear thin in consistency. This is normal for castile soaps made with coconut oil and does not affect cleaning performance.
Why It Works
Pili Pulp Oil contributes oleic and palmitic fatty acids that help produce a smooth lather while leaving skin feeling clean without tightness.
Virgin Coconut Oil provides the primary cleansing action. Its natural lauric acid content produces reliable foam and removes surface oils and dirt effectively.
Palm Oil balances the formula by stabilizing the lather and improving rinse quality. It helps prevent the soap from feeling overly drying during repeated use.
Together, the three oils create a castile soap that cleans effectively, rinses completely, and remains stable without synthetic stabilizers.
Botanical Origin
The base of Manila Castile comes from plant oils commonly grown or processed in the Philippines.
Pili Pulp Oil is pressed from the fruit of Canarium ovatum, a tree native to the Bicol region of Luzon. The pulp oil is rich and golden, and is rarely used in commercial soapmaking compared with the more common pili kernel oil.
Virgin Coconut Oil is pressed from fresh coconut meat without heat or chemical refining. This preserves its natural fatty acid composition and mild aroma.
Palm Oil completes the base by contributing stability and consistent lather.
The scent in this variant comes from calamansi essential oil derived from Citrus microcarpa. The fruit is widely cultivated across the Philippines and is valued for its sharp citrus aroma and bright flavor.
Calamansi in Soap
Calamansi essential oil produces a clean citrus scent with a slightly sweet and tangy character. The aroma is reminiscent of freshly cut citrus peel.
In castile soap, calamansi adds a bright refreshing fragrance during washing. The scent appears while the soap is being used and rinses away cleanly without leaving a heavy fragrance on the skin.
Because the scent comes directly from plant oils, natural variation between batches is possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this soap safe to use directly on skin without dilution?
Yes, but it is formulated as a concentrate. Diluting it produces a gentler wash and extends the usable volume of soap.
Why does the soap look watery?
Castile soaps made with coconut oil are naturally thinner than most commercial liquid soaps. This does not affect cleaning performance.
Will the calamansi scent remain on the skin?
The citrus aroma is most noticeable during washing and usually fades after rinsing.
How long does one bottle last?
At a 1:3 dilution ratio, a 250 mL bottle produces roughly 1 liter of ready-to-use body wash. A 1000 mL bottle diluted at the same ratio produces about 4 liters.
